THE "DETAILER": DUST-FREE VERTICAL & EDGE GRINDERS

The most common point of failure for any garage floor installation is the perimeter. Most contractors use a large machine for the middle and "hand-sand" the edges, or worse, they skip them entirely. At OtterTek, we use Metabo handheld grinders equipped with specialized convertible dust shrouds. This allows us to grind 100% of your floor—literally right up to the baseboards—ensuring that your protective coating is anchored from wall to wall.

Vertical Surface Prep

Our handheld units allow us to prep "stem walls" (the concrete footer that sticks up above the floor) for a seamless, "bathtub-style" finish that protects your drywall from water and grime.

Precision Cornering

We use 5-inch and 7-inch diamond cups to reach into tight 90-degree corners and behind permanent fixtures where the large "Beast" simply can’t fit.

Edge-to-Edge Suction

Like our large grinders, our handheld units are tethered to our HEPA vacuum systems. This prevents "dust plumes" from escaping when we are working on the detailed edges and corners of your garage.

Mechanical Anchor Points

By grinding the edges to the exact same "CSP-2" profile as the main floor, we ensure the coating has a deep mechanical bond at the most vulnerable points of the room, preventing peeling at the edges.
